The new school year began on August 17 for Cotter. Staff and students alike were excited for the new school year! To start the new year, we give a big Warrior welcome to the new members of our faculty tribe. Mr. Jayme Jones is our new chief as superintendent of Cotter Public Schools. Mr. Clark Gustin is the new high school principal. Let’s have a great year warriors!

The Second Annual Warrior Open was held Saturday, August 20 at the Twin Lakes Golf Course. The Warrior Open has become an annual fundraiser for Cotter High School Athletics. 37 teams came out to play, for a total of 74 participants. The Grand Champion prize went to the team of Randy Lunceford and David Butterfield. The team had a final score of 57 and was awarded $300. However, with many different categories, the school paid out $2,000 in prizes. Platinum and Gold sponsors include Clay Maxey Chevrolet, Ozark Mountain Electric, Nosari Home Mortgage, DeAtley Dental Care, and Genuine Care Pharmacy. Coach Jamie Rodgers gives a huge thank you to all 31 sponsors! Our sponsors helped raise over $7,000 for Cotter Athletics.
